Thurmond Takes Senate 41 GOP Nomination
Paul Thurmond won the runoff for the Republican nomination for the S.C. Senate District 41 seat on Tuesday

Paul Thurmond beat Sen. Walter Hundley by a 2-1 margin in the runoff for the Republican nomination for the S.C. Senate District 41 seat Tuesday, according to unofficial results.
Thurmond racked up more than 69 percent of the vote in the Charleston County precincts with 1,598 votes out of 2,316 votes cast. Hundley finished with slightly more than 30 percent of the vote (704 votes).
In Dorchester County Thurmond racked up nearly a 9-1 advantage in votes, 174 to 19.
