Trio Arrested After March 1 Robbery, Assault

Charleston Police say a married couple and their roommate committed armed robbery using a baseball bat on Friday.

Charleston Police caught up with a trio of West Ashley residents after witnesses to a robbery at Outback Steakhouse recognized two of them, according to a Charleston Police Department statement.

As a pair of restaurant patrons was leaving the restaurant, Police allege that Glen Head, 40, and Marc Raymond Nelson, 35, of 811 Castle Ave., approached their car armed with a baseball bat, and robbed the victims, one of whom was punched repeatedly, according to the statement. Head and Nelson then allegedly fled in a vehicle driven by Michele Head, 39, also of 811 Castle Ave. Michele and Glen Head are married.

The robbery occurred around 9:30 p.m. Friday. Witnesses at the scene told police they recognized Glen Head and Nelson and told officers where to find them, according to the statement.

Glen Head and Michele Head each face two counts of armed robbery. Nelson is charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of assault and battery — 1st degree.

Officers were waiting on the Heads and Nelson when they returned to their home, according to the statement.
