Two Men Arrested in Attempted Armed Robbery in West Ashley
Charleston Police charged two North Charleston men in connection with an attempted armed robbery on Ashley River Road Sunday morning
Two North Charleston men are facing multiple charges in connection with an attempted armed robbery in West Ashley early Sunday morning.
Charleston Police have charged Brandon Lloyd Daniels, 20, of 1616 Larry Street, North Charleston, is charged with attempted armed robbery, assault and battery — 1st degree, unlawful carrying of a handgun, possession of a stolen handgun and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Lamarkeis Forrest, 19, of 8088 New England Drive, North Charleston, is charged with attempted armed robbery and assault and battery — 1st degree, according to a statement from police.
Both men are being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center in North Charleston.

Around 1 a.m. Sunday, two people were approaching the stairwell of an Ashley River Road apartment complex when they encountered two men wearing masks coming up the staircase. At least one of the masked men was armed with a handgun, according to a police statement. The two victims told police they heard gunshots as they ran from the masked men.
Officers responding to the call about the men saw a Chevy Cruze fleeing the apartment complex and pursued it. When the Cruze stopped, the passenger in the vehicle fled on foot, and the officers saw him discard a handgun as he fled, according to the statement.
