- The Charleston County Sheriff's Office reports that a rollover crash knocked over a utility pole on Saturday night. The incident occurred on Johns Island at the intersection of Southwick Drive and Castlewick Avenue. There were no serious injuries to the two individuals in the vehicle. The intersection was closed for about five hours as the pole was repaired. (WCBD News 2)
- The Charleston County School District is considering a proposal to build affordable housing for its teachers. The proposal is meant to address the area's soaring rent prices and ongoing hiring struggles. Charleston's rent prices have increased by over 35 percent since 2019. (Charleston Post Courier)
- Charleston County's law enforcement agencies held a trailer ID event on Saturday. The event was held through a partnership with the National Insurance Bureau. According to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, there were 71 stolen trailers in 2021 and only 14 were recovered. The agencies marked each participating trailer at Saturday's event with a unique ID number to deter theft. (ABC News 4)
