- Nurses at Charleston's Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Center are reporting frustrations with staffing and pay. According to the nurses, the situation has begun negatively affecting patient care at the hospital and short staffing has caused many of the medical center's nurses to become burnt out. The hospital claims that its nurses are being paid 28 percent more than their peers in Charleston. (WCBD News 2)
- Hundreds of veterans gathered in North Charleston on Friday for the city's annual Veterans Day ceremony. The veterans represented all military branches and ranged from 25 years old to 102. Chief Meteorologist Bill Walsh, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, emceed the special ceremony. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- The Charleston County Sheriff's Office will be reviewing its anti-harassment policy. According to the department, this anti-harassment policy has not been changed since 2013. The policy instructs how complaints will be investigated and how complaints should be reported. The changes are reportedly a result of recent sexual harassment in the department.
