Weekend Burglaries Reported in West Ashley
Burglars broke into two homes in West Ashley last weekend

A West Ashley man told Charleston Police someone had broken into his home on Orange Grove Shores Drive and stolen a handgun from a drawer in his night stand between 7-11 a.m., Friday, April 20, while he was at work. He said the thief also went through the drawers in his bathroom, but the weapon was the only thing stolen, according to a report.
On Saturday, a woman living on Savage Road told the Charleston County Sheriff's Office that a man kicked in her back door around 7:30 p.m. while she was home, but fled when he saw her. He was described as black, 20-22 years old, approximately 5-feet tall, weighing about 170 pounds. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans at the time.
