West Ashley Getting an Arts and Crafts Store

West Ashley residents have lamented the lack of an arts and crafts store close by for years, but early in 2013 that won't be the case any longer.

Joann Fabric and Craft Stores is currently building a new store in West Ashley in the Ashley Crossing Shopping Center at the intersection of Magwood Road and the Glenn McConnell Parkway.

The company carries a wide range of arts and crafts supplies from fabrics to scrapbooking material to paints and canvasses and everything in between.

Several West Ashley Patch users have commented on various What Should Go Here features that they wanted to see a store like Joann move into the area (here, here, and here). It looks like they're finally going to get their wish.
