West Ashley Patch Expanding, Changing Name

Today West Ashley Patch becomes Charleston Patch.

Based on feedback from you, our loyal readers and advertisers, expanding our coverage from West Ashley to all of Charleston just makes sense. You may have noticed more articles about news and happenings in James Island, the downtown peninsula and other parts of the Charleston metropolitan area recently, and with our expanded focus on the wider Charleston area we'll be bringing you even more news important to you and your community.

We'll still provide you with the same robust coverage of West Ashley, and we'll be giving you that same level of coverage for the rest of the city of Charleston and surrounding areas that aren't already covered by other area Patches.

This is meant to help us provide better coverage of the things that matter to people in the Charleston area - which is something we're always striving to do anyway. But, as always if you think we're missing something please let us know.
