West Ashley Robbery Suspect Surrenders to Police

A man wanted in connection with the strong-arm robbery of a West Ashley pharmacy surrendered to Police Monday

A man wanted in connection with the strong-arm robbery of the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 1115 Old Towne Road surrendered to Charleston Police Monday, according to a Police statement.

John H. Davey Jr., 22, of 730 Sterling Drive, has been charged with strong-arm robbery and is being held at the Al Cannon Detention Center in North Charleston.

Around 3 p.m. last Tuesday a man entered the pharmacy and walkd out with an undisclosed amount of Oxycodone pills, according to the statement. Last week the department released images of the robber taken by the store's surveilance system.

Police say Davey surrendered Monday.
