West Ashley resident Debra Jones 49, of Corral Drive, was killed Thursday night around 8:38 p.m. in a two-car collision on Corral Drive in the Ponderosa Subdivision, according to a statement released by the Charleston County Sheriff's Office.
Jones was driving a 1997 Ford Explorer on Corral Drive, and, according to the statement, crossed into oncoming traffic, striking a 1995 Chevy pick-up truck heading the other way. Jones was killed in the collision, though her exact cause of death has not been released yet. The driver of the pick-up was not injured, according to the statement.
