What Should Go Here: Books-A-Million
Coming out of the Great Recession empty storefronts are pretty common, but we want to know what Patch.com users want to see fill those empty business properties

The Books-A-Million at the corner of Orleans Road and Sam Rittenberg Boulevard will be closing on Feb. 16.
That will leave a sizable hole to fill at that intersection. The book seller has been at that location since the 1990s, but the migration of just about everything to an online or as in the case of many books wholly digital platforms has already claimed large chains like Borders Books.
Books-A-Million isn't packing it up entirely, the Northwoods location will remain open, but in West Ashley, at least until the middle of February everything in the store is on sale. Books and magazines are discounted 20 percent, games, toys and gifts have gotten a 30 percent price cut and Hallmark greeting cards are marked off up to 50 percent.

While you can snap up some great deals right now, what would you like to see happen with the large retail space. It's a great location in a high traffic area with multiple ingress and egress points, so hopefully the building won't stay on the market long.
