What Should Go Here: Jackson's Inc

Coming out of the Great Recession empty storefronts are pretty common, but we want to know what Patch.com users want to see fill those empty business properties

The former home of Jackson's Inc Printing, this building at 1937 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. now seems to serve as nothing more than a parking lot most days.

Just about every weekday you'll find several car parked beneath the extended awning in front and several more parked beside the now vacant building.

A sign in the front window informs everyone that Jackson's moved to North Charleston, and the company has apparently since been bought out by Ross Printing. But the old building remains an all but unused piece of potentially valuable commercial real estate.

Sam Rittenberg Boulevard is one of the busiest highways in West Ashley, but there seem to be several vacant businesses clustered along the stretch of the road between Ashley River Road and Orleans Road, with many of them concentrated near the intersection of Belgrade Avenue and Sam Rittenberg Boulevard.

This whole area is ripe for redevelopment, what would you like to see fill it?
