Wildcats in the Hunt: AAAA Basketball Playoff
West Ashley High School's boys and girls basketball teams begin their quest for a state title this week as the S.C. High School League post-season gets underway.

Both the boys and girls varsity basketball teams earned #2 seeds in the South Carolina High School League post-season tournaments this year.
While the tournament play begins tonight for some area high schools, the Lady Wildcats tip off at 7 p.m. tomorrow at home against #3 seed South Florence.
If the Lady Wildcats win they will face the winner of #1 seed Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School and #3 seed Blythewood High School on the road at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17.

The boys team, also a #2 seed in the tournament, begins play at 7 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 15 at home against #3 seed Sumter High School.
The winner of that game will move on to face the winner of #1 seed Lexington High School and #3 seed Ridge View High School, scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18.
