A woman selling food near a West Ashley construction site allegedly attacked another woman who was bringing lunch to a friend

The mobile restaurant business can be a tough racket.

A woman told Charleston Police she was attacked by another woman near a West Ashley construction site after delivering lunch to a friend a few minutes after noon on Thursday, Dec. 6, according to a Charleston Police Department report.

The victim said her attacker had been selling food to construction workers from her vehicle and thought she was trying to steal business from her. As the victim left the construction site on Carolina Bay Drive, her assailant flagged her down, walked up to the car and struck her through the open car window. The woman then told the victim to "Watch your back," the report stated.
