UPDATED: Woman Murdered in Orange Grove Road Identified
Police found the body of a 59-year-old woman who had been shot in her bedroom Sunday

The woman who was found shot to death Sunday in her West Ashley home was identified Monday as 59-year-old Patricia Walker.
The Post and Courier reported an autopsy on Walker’s body was planned later Monday.

A 59-year-old woman was murdered in her Orange Grove Road bedroom, Charleston Police announced Sunday.

The woman's parents, who live in Columbia, had not heard from her in a few days and drove to Charleston to check on her. Officers met them at the victim's home, at 958 Orange Grove Road, where officers found the woman's body shot in her bedroom.
Police discovered the victim at about 5 p.m. Sunday. Investigators believe the victim knew her killer, according to the statement.
