Wonder Works Thanks Heaven For Harper Drolet
Store asks friends to share stories about how the 10-year-old, who died of cancer earlier this year, touched their lives

Harper Drolet accomplished a lot in her short 10 years.
The girl who died earlier this year from a rare form of soft tissue cancer left a lasting legacy of service to others when she passed away, and this week Wonder Works, a educational toy store company with locations in West Ashley and Mount Pleasant, is asking all of its Facebook friends to take a couple minutes to share their Harper stories.
"Harper had always been a big fan of and her family is active and involved with us," Carrie Andress of Momentum Marketing said. "Christine (Osborne) and Wonder Works in general help a lot of young entreprenuers."

After spending time at MUSC and seeing the hospital's Happy Wheels Cart, which provides toys to the children receiving treatment at MUSC, first hand Harper approached Osborne (owner of Wonder Works) about supplying toys for the program so that it would always be there for children at MUSC, said Andress, who handles marketing for the company.
"Last year around this time we did 'A Week of Wonder' where we asked people to like our Facebook page," Andress said. "For each new like that week we donated a toy to Happy Wheels. We had over 7,000 likes."

The stores continue to sell "Hugs for Harper" bracelets and bumper stickers to raise money to help Harper's family pay off medical bills and other expenses. After leading the Happy Wheels campaign Harper began working with LEARN (Livestock and Equine Awareness and Rescue Network) and ended up adopting a pair of horses, Andress said.
"That aura, that person she was made a huge difference for me, for people that knew her, for her classmates," Osborne said during an interview with Patch last month. "She shared that love of doing for others with them."
Now Wonder Works is asking people to share their Harper stories with the world.
