Columbia to Collect Unused Cell Phones for Sistercare
Old wireless phones, batteries and accessories in any condition from any wireless carrier can be donated.

The City Of Columbia is collecting old or unused wireless phones for survivors of domestic violence through Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine program.
Old wireless phones, batteries and accessories in any condition from any wireless carrier can be dropped off City Hall at 1737 Main St. between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. until Thursday, Oct. 31.

HopeLine from Verizon supports the domestic violence community by providing wireless phones and cash grants to local shelters and non-profit organizations throughout the country that focus on domestic violence prevention and awareness. HopeLine locally supports Sistercare.
Refurbished phones, complete with 3,000 minutes of wireless service, are provided to domestic violence organizations for use by survivors.
