Police: Man Dressed as Construction Worker Robbed Columbia Store
Police are looking for a man who dressed like a construction worker during the armed robbery of a Garners Ferry Road store in September.

Columbia Police say a man dressed like a construction worker robbed a Garners Ferry Road store last month.
The man is accused of pointing a gun at a clerk and stealing an undisclosed amount of money at the Dollar Tree at 7546 Garners Ferry Road shortly after 9 a.m. on Sept. 29, according to a police department release.
Surveillance video shows the man wearing dark pants, and a 'hoodie' or sweatshirt with construction-style accessories including a reflective vest, hard hat, dark safety glasses, and a long work-style shoulder bag.
The man is described as a black male, possibly between the ages of 20 and 30, 6 feet 4 inches tall and approximately 175 pounds. The suspect is also described as having 'severely crooked and broken teeth.'
No one was hurt during the robbery, police said.
“We typically see a spike in armed robberies during the months leading up to the busy holiday season,” Interim police Chief Ruben Santiago said in the release. ”The crime is quick and specific. That is why we continue adding officers to patrol business areas.”
