The measure already made it out of the Senate Judiciary Committee and will now go before the entire House.

Meanwhile, the House Ways and Means Committee considered legislation that would create an agency that would be responsible for cybersecurity. The committee adjourned before a vote, unable to resolve whether to create the new agency or to require more diligence from existing agencies with respect to cybersecurity. The measure is a result of the Department of Revenue cybersecurity breach last year.
