  1. Most Hilton Head natives know the name Maverick. He was a fixture at Coligny Hardware and Beach Supplies until his passing in December. He was jokingly referred to as the store's PR guy. Now, owner Beth Castelli says that thanks to a surprise from her husband, a new puppy will reprise Maverick's role. Charles Henry Valentine, or Charlie, is Maverick's nephew. He was adopted from the same litter. Charlie's first day at the store is this week, Mar. 15. (AOL.com)
  2. A second police report was filed this week in Beaufort County by Alex Murdaugh's son and his girlfriend against the members of the media. According to Buster Murdaugh's girlfriend, Brooklyn White, reporters were allegedly seen looking into the windows of her car and continued to go door-to-door asking neighbors for information. Buster's father, Alex Murdaugh, was convicted of and sentenced to two life sentences in the murders of his son Paul, and wife, Maggie. (WYFF 4)
  3. Hilton Head Humane will host its 25th annual Dog Walk on Saturday, Apr. 29, starting at 8:30 a.m. The dog walk registration and sponsorship forms are now open online. Those who join in on the event will receive an event t-shirt, dog bandanna, wristband, and goody bag. Please note that there is no day-of registration, so register here in advance and join the shelter on Coligny Beach! (Hilton Head Humane)
