• Hilton Head neighborhood nears approval of overdevelopment protections (wjcl.com) — Homeowners in Hilton Head Island’s Holiday Homes neighborhood are backing new rules that would cap houses at 2½ stories and limit garages to two spaces, aiming to curb overdevelopment near Folly Field Beach. Residents say the changes would help preserve neighborhood character and keep more housing accessible to young families on the island. 
• Lowcountry Legal Volunteers announces $200K heirs prevention aid grant (blufftontoday.com) — Families on Hilton Head Island and across the Lowcountry could see stronger protection for their land and inheritance thanks to a new $200,000 grant to Lowcountry Legal Volunteers. The funding will support free wills, estate planning clinics, and heirs’ property education through 2026, in partnership with groups including the Hilton Head Island Gullah Geechee Land & Cultural Preservation Task Force.
