- Authorities continue to search for the suspect in a shooting that happened last week. Last Friday, a woman was shot in the head after intervening in a domestic situation at Hilton Head Gardens. Her injuries were non-life-threatening. Bernard Gavin, the suspect, has not been found and authorities ask Hilton Head residents to be on the lookout. (WJCL)
- Hilton Head residents should be aware that many kinds of frozen fruit were recalled from Walmart, Costco, and H-E-B stores this week over Hepatitis A concerns. A list of the products, their lot numbers, and the dates affected can be found at the link. Hepatitis A is very contagious and causes liver infections. (Island Packet)
- This is a reminder that in observance of Juneteenth, Hilton Head Island administrative offices will be closed on Monday, Jun. 19. Offices will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Emergency services and convenience centers, among other essential businesses, will remain open on Monday. (Hilton Head Island)

- REMINDER - Don't miss these two big Juneteenth celebrations! On Friday, Jun. 16, a drum circle will be held in Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park, back by popular demand. There will be food and vendors and admission is free. On Saturday, there will be an even larger celebration starting at 10:30 a.m. with music, food, and vendors. (Explore Mitchelville)
- Hilton Head's HarborFest will be held every Tuesday until Aug. 22! There will be fireworks at dark, live entertainment, arts & crafts, and plenty of activities for children. There are only a few more Tuesdays left, so don't miss it! (Shelter Cove Harbor Fest)
