  1. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) and other state and local agencies will conduct a full-scale exercise of the state's hurricane evacuation plan on Jun. 8. The exercise will test lane reversal plans for several highways in the event of a coastal evacuation order, but no actual traffic lanes will be reversed during the test. Motorists can expect to see personnel and equipment deployed along designated evacuation routes leading out of Hilton Head and Beaufort, and intersections will not be blocked, allowing traffic to flow freely. (WLTX 19)
  2. The Bristol Park skate ramp will be closed until tomorrow, Jun. 8, to allow for improvements and ensure a better and safer riding experience. The park authorities appreciate the patience of skateboarders and parkgoers during this time and encourage them to explore other local sports parks. The town of Hilton Head is committed to prioritizing safety and looks forward to reopening the Bristol Park skate ramp soon. (Town of Hilton Head Government via Facebook)
  3. It's graduation season and Beaufort County Schools will be celebrating this week!
