Here are the top three stories in Hilton Head today:
- Seven Hilton Head High School athletes have committed to playing sports at the next level. Bobby Bart will play tennis at Western University, while Kane Eanes will be heading to Bob Jones. Foster Edwards will play tennis at Missouri Baptist, William Tebrake will sail at Texas A&M Galveston, and Jake Young will attend the United States Naval Academy to play tennis. Additionally, Hailie Klinger will be going to Lees Mcrae for soccer and Andrew Helms will be playing basketball for USC Beaufort. (WSAV)
- The Blue Angels arrived at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort for the weekend air show, featuring seven fighter jets and their pilots. The team, including maintenance personnel, is known for its aerobatic flight demonstrations and community outreach. The MCAS Air Show will run on Saturday and Sunday this weekend beginning at 11 a.m. The Blue Angels will perform at 3 p.m. (Subscription: The Island Packet)
- A serious five-vehicle accident occurred on Savannah Highway and S.C. 170, resulting in the blockage of all eastbound traffic heading toward Beaufort on Thursday. According to officials from the City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department, the crash left at least three people injured. They were transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
