Here are the top three stories today in Hilton Head:

  1. Nine Beaufort County restaurants were cited below an "A" during a March routine health inspection. The South Carolina Department of Health and Environment Control cited restaurants like the Grand Hilton Head Inn, Cheap Seats Tavern K, and La Nopolera, all "B" ratings. DHEC recorded around 196 inspections of restaurants, schools, stores, and other establishments in Beaufort County. (Subscription: The Island Packet)
  2. Discover South Carolina agreed to a five-year marketing deal with PGA Tour totaling $12.5 million, designating it the "official tourism sponsor." In case you missed it: Golfers tee off this week at the 55th RBC Heritage PGA Tour on Hilton Head Island. The long-running tour is considered South Carolina's biggest annual sporting event.   3. A Hilton Head Island High School student is named on USA Today's High School Sports Awards Watch List for 2022-23. Senior Emily Ruckno recently made the watch list of the top 50 HSSA Girls Tennis Player of the Year for her talent and state recognition.   • Four Beaufort County libraries will offer free Narcan training on Apr. 20. The Beaufort County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Department is helping locals understand the signs of a Narcan overdose and how to save them through five-minute training from 3:00-7:00 p.m. (Live 5 News)
