Here are the top stories today in Hilton Head:

  1. Anonymous tips led to the arrest of Christopher Herndon, a Hilton Head resident, for selling and distributing illegal drugs, including methamphetamine and cocaine. The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office conducted a two-month-long investigation, which culminated in the execution of a search warrant at Herndon's home, where methamphetamine, cocaine, and firearms were seized. Herndon is currently facing multiple charges and is being held in the Beaufort County Detention Center. (ABC NEWS 4)
  2. Residents in Beaufort and surrounding areas have the opportunity to remove some qualifying charges from their records through an expungement clinic being held in Old Town Bluffton. The clinic requires individuals to meet certain criteria, complete an application, and pay a fee. The Campbell Chapel AME Church will host the clinic on Mar. 27 from 12-3 p.m., and another clinic is planned for the Fall. (Hilton Head Island Packet)
  3. Last week Beaufort County partook in the acknowledgment of Employee Appreciation Day and gave thanks to all the individuals who make Beaufort County the wonderful place it is. Without these individuals seeing the day-to-day in the area, the county would not be able to function. (Beaufort County Government SC via Facebook)
