  1. The South Carolina Department of Transportation is planning to widen Interstate 95 to help alleviate congestion. Construction is set to begin late this year and is scheduled to be completed by 2032. (ConstructionEquipment)
  2. On Sunday, Apr. 16, defending champion Jordan Spieth officially lost to opponent Matt Fitzpatrick at the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head. After avoiding multiple birdie bids from Spieth's blade, Fitzpatrick saw his opportunity to win and took it. 3. The Beaufort County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Department is partnering with Beaufort County Sheriff's Office on Saturday, Apr. 22, to host their DEA National Rx Take Back program. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at two different locations in Beaufort County and give individuals the opportunity to properly dispose of unused prescription drugs. Beaufort County's Alcohol and Drug Abuse Department will be present to hand out Deterra Bags for any disposals of at-home medication and share more information about their year-round medication drop-off locations.
