- Brittany Dabule, a highly successful college golf coach and Hilton Head native has been named the head coach of App State Women's Golf, bringing her expertise and proven track record to the program. Her goals align with the university's values, and she is committed to helping young women excel academically and athletically. Dabule has achieved remarkable results in her previous coaching positions, including record-setting performances and national rankings for the teams she led. (App State Sports)
- A driver who crashed her car into a marsh in Beaufort County was successfully rescued by first responders on Jun. 12. Despite facing challenges in reaching the vehicle, firefighters ingeniously used a ladder as a makeshift bridge to access the unresponsive driver. After stabilizing her, she was promptly taken to a nearby hospital, and her current condition is currently undisclosed. (Live 5 News)
- Josephine Wright, a 93-year-old Hilton Head resident is being sued by Bailey Point Investment, LLC. Wright and her family feel that the lawsuit is meant to pressure them into selling their property and Bakari Sellers, a former state representative, has written a letter in support of the Wrights. Sellers also requested a meeting with the developers to discuss the relocation of their project but was declined. (Subscription: Hilton Head Island Packet)
