- Josephine Wright, 93, lives on her family's land on Hilton Head Island, which has been in her husband's family since the Civil War, and she wants to preserve it despite facing threats from a development company. The company sued her for encroachment, seeking to build a neighborhood on the property, but she refused their offer to buy it five years ago. With the support of celebrities like Snoop Dogg and Kyrie Irving, Ms. Wright is fighting to keep her family's land and hopes her story will inspire others to do the same. - Last week, Beaufort County Council appointed John Robinson as Interim Administrator during a special meeting. Chairman Joe Passiment expressed confidence in Robinson's leadership during these challenging times, emphasizing the dedication of County staff in serving citizens. - Residents of Beaufort County observed a line of bright lights in the night sky, which were recently launched Starlink satellites from Elon Musk's global connectivity project. These low-orbit satellites aim to provide broadband internet access worldwide. SpaceX has already launched over 4,000 satellites, with the most recent ones forming a visible line that would eventually join the existing network in the sky. - Hilton Head Island's own Tyler Crispen, known for his appearances on "Big Brother" reality TV shows, including runner-up on season 20 and participant on "Big Brother: All Stars," is set to join the cast of "The Challenge: USA." The show will feature intense physical contests in Croatia between 18 stars from "Survivor," "Big Brother," and "The Amazing Race," as well as six "MTV's The Challenge" veterans, competing for a grand prize of $500,000. - Buffalos restaurant in Palmetto Bluff has reopened to the public following closure during the pandemic, accompanied by extensive renovations that introduced a new look and menu.
