Deputies Search for Man Who Robbed West Columbia Bank
The robbery happened around 4 p.m. at a bank on Sunset Boulevard.
Lexington County deputies are looking for a man who robbed a First Citizens Bank branch near West Columbia Friday afternoon.Â
The man entered the bank at 2830 Sunset Boulevard around 4 p.m. and told employees that he was armed with a weapon, according to the sheriff's department. No one reported seeing a weapon in the man's possession though, and no one was injured during the robbery.Â
Witnesses told detectives the man who robbed the bank was white and was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, a dark-colored cloth that covered his face, a dark-colored shirt and khaki cargo pants. The man also was wearing gloves on his hands.

The man exited the bank on foot and left the area, according to the sheriff's department.
