However, officials warn that cleanup will last until Thursday night and the area should be avoided if possible.
ORIGINAL STORY: The S.C. Highway Patrol is working a crash on Interstate 20 eastbound near Exit 56 (Highway 6).

The officers say the crash involves a tractor-trailer and a vehicle.
All traffic, as of 2:45 p.m., was being detoured off of I-20 at Exit 56 and allowed back on the interstate at Exit 58 (Highwah 1).

The traffic is backed up on I-20 three miles and traffic is heavy on U.S. 1, S.C. 6 and Longs Pond Road.
