Sheriff's Department, Lions Club Donate More Than 1,000 Pairs of Used Eyeglasses

The glasses were donated to the S.C. Lieutenant Governor's Office on Aging.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, in partnership with the Cayce-West Columbia Lions Club, donated 1,007 pairs of eyeglasses, as well as 14 hearing aids, to the South Carolina Lieutenant Governor’s Office on Aging.

The eyeglasses and hearing aids were collected between June 17 and July 1 during the third annual Recycle for Sight and Sound effort.

Three Fountains Resident Deputy Stacey Gadson coordinated the participation of the sheriff’s department in the Recycle for Sight and Sound effort. Gadson is a member of the Cayce-West Columbia Lions Club.
