Update: Truck Hits Utility Pole on Lexington's Main Street

Update: 4:20 p.m.: Lexington Police are asking drivers to avoid E. Main Street between S. Lake Drive and Swartz Road due to the crash. 

Crews are working to restore a utility pole and wires that are down.

Original story: 3:56 p.m.: A large truck ran into a utility pole on East Main Street Thursday afternoon.

The truck hit a pole in front of the Old Mill just before 4 p.m., backing up traffic all the way down East Main.

EMS, firefighters and police are at the scene helping the driver get out of the truck and directing traffic.
