
No one was injured in a double-wide mobile home fire in Gaston on Tuesday morning, but the structure is considered a total loss.
According to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, a 911 call placed at 8:04 a.m. informed respondents of a house fire at 119 Cinder Hill Court.
The residents were home at the time of the fire and escaped with no injuries, according to a press release. Â A resident awakened by the smell of smoke discovered a fire near the kitchen stove.

Four units responded (from South Congaree, Gaston, Edmund and Sharpes Hill). The fire was under control by 8:49 a.m. and all units cleared by 10:52 a.m.
The home was a total loss, with damages estimated at $40,000. The American Red Cross was called and provided assistance to the residents.
