Two Charged With Breaking Into Warehouse

Two men — one from Gaston and one from Columbia — were arrested on Monday and charged with breaking into a West Columbia warehouse and stealing equipment.

According to a release from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, Isaac Allen Beverly, 41, of 805 South Prospect Street, Columbia, has been charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny. Beverly was also issued a citation on a charge of driving a motor vehicle with a driver’s license that had been suspended.

According to deputies, the men entered a warehouse on 210 Bray Park Road and stole an industrial-grade steam cleaner valued at $1,000. The men then tried to sell the machine for scrap, according to the release.

Larry Allen Hourihan, 45, of 446 Lynn Street, Gaston, was charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Witnesses told deputies on Monday afternoon that the burglars drove away in a green pickup truck that had a homemade utility trailer attached to the rear. Deputies went to CMC Recycling and saw a green 1998 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
