  2. In an effort to help with pest control, Horry County aerial mosquito spraying will begin this week. Spraying time is set for one hour before and one hour after sunset. As long as the weather cooperates, spray days are scheduled for today, Tuesday, July 25, and Thursday, July 27. If the weather does not cooperate the spray dates will be Friday, July 28, and Monday July 31. According to wpde.com, "The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency approves the chemicals used for mosquito control spraying. According to officials, the aerial sprays pose minimal risk to humans and animals." (wpde.com)
  3. Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist with hip replacement surgery, Dr. Peter Ramsey, a Grand Strand surgeon with OrthoSC, says the new technology makes his job easier.
