Today in Myrtle Beach:

  • "Death on the Causeway" Pre-Launch Party! (3:30 PM)
  • Charles Bach Wonders! Magic & Illusion Show (4:00 PM)

From my notebook:

  • South Carolina Aquarium: "Turtles love some crunch! Well, that might be true but not when it comes to ulva! Also known as sea lettuce, this macroalgae is a natural food item for green sea turtles in the wild. It resembles green, wet tissue paper and grows in shallow waters in the spring. Our sea turtle biologists forage for ulva near the Aquarium before feeding it out to our green sea turtle patients undergoing rehab. This provides enrichment and sometimes sparks an appetite in any picky eater!" (South Carolina Aquarium via Instagram)
  • The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach: "Stray intake 05-04-23. Intact male found on 26th Avenue S. Please remember these animals are not up for adoption yet. The purpose of these posts are to reunite lost pets with their owners. Animals will be held for five days to allow an owner time to reclaim them." (The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach via Facebook)
  • House of Blues Myrtle Beach: "Get ready for Concert Week. May 10-16! $25 All-In Tickets to over 3,800 shows. It’s the perfect time to get tickets to see ALL your favorite artists and fill your year with live events." (House of Blues Myrtle Beach via Facebook)
