Flooding Hits Myrtle Beach, SC
Renowned for its Southern hospitality, sunny weather and sandy beaches - Myrtle Beach was a washout on Memorial Day.

MYRTLE BEACH, SC — Heavy rain overwhelmed creeks and rivers in the Myrtle Beach area, causing flooding in neighborhoods. It also sent holiday weekend visitors packing. Myrtle Beach had more than 2.5 inches of rain through midday, while nearby areas got as much as 5 inches.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that Circle Bay Drive is impacted.
Ponding is reported on several streets and highways.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until Tuesday morning. Any visitors who delayed their getaway could be stuck until then.
