- Prices at the pump continue to rise again this week. Over the past seven-plus days, the average price of gas has gone up approximately 11.5 cents. According to WMBF, "'Average gasoline prices continued to move up last week thanks to a continued rise in oil and continued pressure from hot weather that impacted refineries,' Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said. 'However, the pace of increases has started to slow down over the last few days, and for now, appears to have hit a peak over the weekend and is beginning to gently fall.'" (WMBF)
- Late Friday night in North Myrtle Beach, a stairway collapsed at Sea Cabin condos injuring a family with two young children. According to WRAL News, "Emily and Christopher Shill of Apex and their 4-year-old and 2-year-old children were using the stairs at the time it collapsed. All four of the Shills were transported to the hospital. The city of North Myrtle Beach is asking its building inspector to investigate." (WRAL News)
- The Conway Police Department is looking for Rebecca Ann Johnson, who reportedly fled a traffic stop on foot over a week ago. According to WMBF, "she is wanted for possession of a stolen vehicle, receiving stolen goods, possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, financial transaction card theft and disobeying a police officer. Anyone with any information is asked to call the department at 843-248-1790." (WMBF)
