Horry County Government: Update Regarding Certain Stormwater Fee Exemptions

Horry County has become aware of a 2009 amendment to state statute which may provide partial exemption to property owners of certain agricultural, forestlands and undeveloped parcels with respect to county stormwater fees. Staff are currently evaluating the effect of the amendment and within the next few months, the County will be in touch with those property owners that are affected. 

This process will not be completed prior to January 15, 2022 and will not change the current tax bills for county property owners. All taxpayers must still remit payment timely.
