  1. It's an endearing love story that ends with Dennis Murphy donating the beach wheelchair he bought for his wife Kathy. Unfortunately, Kathy never got to use the gift Dennis bought so she could dip her feet in the ocean one last time. So, in her honor, he donated the chair to the Surfside Police in hopes that someone else who needs it will use it so they can dip their feet in the ocean. He said he knows that's what Kathy would have wanted. (wpde.com)
  2. If you live near the Conway area don't be worried if sometime soon you hear a very loud noise. According to WMBF, "Horry County police department’s bomb squad and the U.S. Air Force’s bomb disposal unit are preparing to dispose of an unexploded ordinance. Police say this may result in a loud noise that people in the Wild Wing area of Conway can hear. However, in a Facebook post, the department says, 'Rest assured all is well.'” At press time no more information was available. (WMBF)
  3. Get ready to have some fun this fall at the Thompson Farm, where the second annual Taste of the Maze event will take place on Sept. 16 from 5-9 p.m. This is an adults-only night out, featuring a corn maze with stations of beer and wine tastings. According to wpde.com, "Admission to the event includes five tickets that can be redeemed at five different tasting stations in the maze, a personal charcuterie box, and live music." Have fun!
