From my notebook:

  • Myrtle Beach Police Department: "Last Friday, our Records team was able to drop off the final donations for the 'Stock the Care Closet' event to Myrtle Beach Early Childhood and Myrtle Beach Primary Schools! From Aug. 1 through Sept. 1 the Myrtle Beach Police Department Records Division collected donations of new clothing, school supplies, and toiletry items from our community. Our amazing community came through, as always, to help out and donations poured in everyday during our donation period. Thank you to everyone who donated and that has helped to keep our schools and students ready for whatever their day might throw at them." (Myrtle Beach Police Department via Facebook)
  • Horry County Schools: "'You can tell that it's brought a whole new level of encouragement and excitement to the school.' • Ansley Morrow - Principal, North Myrtle Beach High School On Friday, Sept. 1, the upgraded athletic field at North Myrtle Beach High School."
