- Using ‘Mammovans,’ portable, high-quality mammography centers that travel to communities all over Horry County, the Conway Medical Center has a goal of helping to detect breast cancer early and potentially save lives. Utilizing grant funding, the 'Mammovans' reportedly treated more than 10,000 patients in 2022 alone. To find out when a Mammovan will be in your area, click here. (WBTW)
- Did you know that today, June 21, is International Yoga Day? To celebrate, Be Souldfish is hosting a free sunrise class at 6 a.m. for the community on the beach. According to wpde.com, "The class will combine stretching with basic yoga postures to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. The class is designed to help release physical and mental stress from your body and soul. You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, relaxation, and ease of movement." (wpde.com)
- Doc Antle, of Myrtle Beach, who was part of Netflix's "Tiger King" series has been found guilty on two counts of wildlife trafficking and two counts of conspiring to wildlife traffic. According to WMBF, "Investigators said Antle illegally purchased lion cubs in Frederick County, Virginia for display at Myrtle Beach Safari. Sentencing for Antle is scheduled for Sept. 14." (WMBF)
- Caleb Wygal, an award-winning author of Myrtle Beach Mystery Series, will be at the Surfside Festival of Arts on Thursday, June 22. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. beside the library on Surfside Drive in Memorial Park, Wygal will be supporting the Veterans Victory Walk and signing copies of his books, including "Death On The Causeway," his newest book.
