Missing Horry County Man Found Dead: Police
Ralph Whitehead, 61, had last been seen Friday, and his body was recovered in Forestbrook after a search lasting several days.
FORESTBROOK, SC —The body of a Horry County man missing since Friday was found Wednesday afternoon in Forestbrook, according to Horry County police.
Ralph Whitehead, 61, was found near the Steeple Chase neighborhood at approximately 3:15 p.m., police said, concluding a search lasting several days.
Whitehead went missing around 10 a.m. Friday on Camden Drive outside Myrtle Beach and had an undiagnosed medical issue, according to authorities.

Whitehead's cause of death has not been released, and a spokesperson with the Horry County Police Department declined further comment.
Horry County police are sending support to the family, the department said in a statement on Twitter.
