The MBACC Board of Directors approved the logo at its October meeting and since then, chamber staff members have implemented the design into collateral materials and digital assets, including MyrtleBeachAreaChamber.com.
The primary logo features navy and light blue colors, a script and a block font, and curvy wave lines representing the Atlantic Ocean. It was designed by MMGY Global to complement the color pallets and font treatments for Visit Myrtle Beach’s new brand identity, which was released in May 2021 by the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).

“Our member investors, the community and our visitors have been overwhelmingly receptive to Visit Myrtle Beach’s new look and its messaging that distinguishes us as ‘The Beach.’ This positive response encouraged us to enhance the chamber’s logo in the same fashion. Now, we feel both brands are aligned to better represent each entity’s common yet distinct goals in a clean and contemporary manner,” said Karen Riordan, MBACC and CVB President and CEO.
Alan Kuykendall, MMGY Global VP, Group Account Director, explained, “Our team – many of whom worked on both projects – carefully considered the variety of executions where the chamber logo would be applied as well as the chamber’s vision, purpose and mission to align the new identity with these core values.”
MBACC Vice President of Business Development Cindy Gettig, added, “Through advocacy, networking and educational programming, our chamber works to promote, protect and improve business throughout the 14 communities of the Grand Strand. This new logo reinforces our efforts through its bold and stylish visuals, including the coastal blue waves that unify our communities.”
MMGY Global is the CVB’s media buying agency of record and is the world’s leading integrated global marketing firm specializing in the travel, hospitality, and entertainment industries. The award-winning organization serves many of the world’s premier travel and tourism brands.
