  1. The tugboat stuck in the water off the coast of North Myrtle Beach is out of the water. After a two-week-long saga, the vessel has officially made it back on shore. (WMBF)
  2. There is no doubt that Myrtle Beach is a beautiful place to visit, as well as live. More young professionals and retirees are moving to the area making it one of the fastest growing areas in U.S. This is great news for area businesses, who are happy to see the growth. According to WMBF, "With a goal of meeting both tourism and local needs, the city of Myrtle Beach is focusing on reviving itself through several projects like the Art and Innovation District." (WMBF)
  3. Friday night, Aug. 18 six teens — 18-year-old Vincenzo Belmonte, 19-year-old Steven Brooks Rhodes, 19-year-old Avery Newcomb, 18-year-old Don Ray Quinn and two minors — were arrested and charged with second-degree assault by a mob. The teens allegedly beat one man in the parking lot of Twin Peaks at the Myrtle Beach Mall. According to WMBF, "The victim suffered a broken nose, swelling on his face and skull, bruises and marks consistent with being kicked in the skull, a cut on his upper lip and his right eye was swollen shut."
