Myrtle Beach Dad & Grandpa 'Is Always Ready To Help Any Way He Can'

MYRTLE BEACH, SC— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Myrtle Beach, meet Keith Oakley.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Dayle Oakley who nominated Keith Oakley of Myrtle Beach.

What makes your dad extra special?

Keith is actually my husband, but he is a great dad and “Grumps” to our children and grandchildren. Approximately two years ago, he had have an above the knee amputation due to a fungal infection after bilateral knee replacement. Keith has never wanted anyone to make major changes due to this. He always puts others' needs before his own. Our sons are married and have children of their own now. Keith is always ready to help with household updates, landscaping and providing fun play areas for the boys and their families. He is always ready to make the drive to NC to see the family there or make the flight to Colorado to visit the family out there. Our grandchildren’s faces light up whenever they see him or FaceTime with him. Keith is my husband, but anyone who knows him, will tell you that he is always ready to help any way he can.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

Because he has raised two sons to understand what being a great dad means!
