MYRTLE BEACH, SC— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?
My mom works very hard and is always there for me and my brother, Christopher. She cooks us great dinners and buys us fruits like cantaloupe and watermelon which we love. She always takes us to fun places like the beach and spends time helping me with my homework. She works as a teacher at my school, and all my friends love my mom, too, because she is always so friendly and kind. My mom is the most special mom there is!
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
Because she does so much for me and my brother and everyone else.
