  1. Caleb Wygal, a Grand Strand native, has just put out his fourth novel in his Myrtle Beach Mystery series, the book is called "Death on the Causeway." According to WBTW, "With a lot of different people coming to the area, Wygal says Myrtle Beach is a melting pot where you can just draw inspiration from just about anyone you see. That inspiration has helped him write the first four books in in just two years. 'Death on the Causeway' is available now at Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million and on Amazon." (WBTW)
  2. In an effort to improve on time performance, Coast RTA has adjusted some routes in Horry and Georgetown counties. Click here for a list of the changes. (WMBF)
  3. Share your thoughts on the future of the region's road needs at one of the upcoming public input forums being held across Myrtle Beach. Residents are being asked to attend and to share their thoughts on the issue so that the Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Grand Strand Area Transportation Study can utilize the input along with survey results to update the Metropolitan Transportation Plan.   4. Many Myrtle Beach businesses are reportedly calling a Bike Week a huge success. According to wbtw.com, "Leslye Beaver, the owner of the Beaver Bar in Murrells Inlet, said that while no rally will ever beat the ones 'back in the good ‘ole days,' this year’s event was among the best.
    Bill Barber, general manager at SBB in Murrells Inlet, agreed that Bike Week is huge for businesses in the area, saying it’s the second biggest 10-day period for income behind the July 4th holiday. Barber said this year’s event was tougher than some because of the weather but it was still a very busy time." (wbtw.com)
