  1. Coastal Carolina University graduates are helping to bridge the teacher gap in the area. According to WMBF, "Horry County Schools welcomed around 350 new teachers this year, and the district said nearly 100 of them just graduated from Coastal Carolina University." (WMBF)
  2. Even though storm Idalia is over, the aftermath of flooding isn't for many Horry County residents. Flooding in the area is still a problem affecting everyday life as well as school bus stops and area patrols. According to wpde.com, " It’s been nearly two weeks since Tropical Storm Idalia hit South Carolina. In Horry County, some communities that are along the Waccamaw River are still dealing with the impacts." (wpde.com)
  3. The Home Improvement and Outdoor Living Show will take place this weekend, Sept. 15, 16, and 17, at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. There will be lots to see and do including a specialty market, art show and sale, demonstrations, workshops and seminars. Admission is $5. Kids under 16 are free. Hope to see you there! (Fall Show)
